Drafts and publishing
Editor approval or automatic publishing
Choose whether every article waits for an editor or goes live straight away, while sensitive stories always wait.
In your site's Settings, the Publishing card has two choices:
- Editor approval (the default): every article arrives as a draft for your editor.
- Publish automatically: articles go live on your site as soon as they arrive. Sensitive stories still wait for an editor.
Switch on automatic publishing
- Only the account owner can switch it on. Editors see a note saying so.
- Read the warning under the choices, then tick I understand, publish automatically.
- Choose Publish automatically. It saves straight away.
The warning says:
- Articles go live on your site without anyone reading them first.
- They’re written with AI from official sources and can still get something wrong. Your site is responsible for what it publishes.
- Each one shows the line “Written with AI from official sources”.
- You can switch back to editor approval at any time.
Sudwire records who switched it on, and when.
What changes
- On WordPress, articles are published as soon as the plugin collects them. On Ghost, they're published as they arrive.
- Every one of them shows the AI label.
- Sensitive stories still arrive as drafts for an editor.
- The setting applies to articles written from then on. Drafts already waiting stay drafts.
- The owner or an editor can switch back to Editor approval at any time.
