Plans and billing
Change your plan
Move to another plan, another number of articles a day, or yearly billing, and see what a smaller plan changes.
- Open Billing and press Change plan (or open Compare plans and volumes). Only the account owner can.
- Pick the plan and the number of articles a day, then press Upgrade or Switch.
- Check the page that follows: it shows your plan now and the new one, what's due today (or the credit for unused time), and what you pay after that.
- Press Confirm upgrade or Confirm change.
Changes apply straight away, and the difference is charged or credited at once. If a payment has failed, update your card first: “Update your payment method first, then change plan.”
Yearly billing
When yearly billing is offered, a switch on the Billing page shows yearly prices. A year costs 10 months' price, a saving of 17%.
Moving to a smaller plan
The confirmation page lists what changes for your account under What changes. It can include:
- Fewer articles a day, and a different writer.
- Sites beyond the new plan's limit stop running. The sites you added first keep running.
- Sources beyond the new limits stop being checked, including social networks the new plan doesn't include. The sources added first keep running.
- Team members beyond the new seats lose access. The newest are paused, and you can remove someone to give a paused member their access back.
- Story leads stop, and your house style is no longer used, on plans without them.
Nothing is deleted: on a bigger plan, the sites, sources and members that were paused work again.
During the free trial
Changing only the number of articles a day keeps the trial, and nothing is charged until it ends. Switching to another plan ends the trial today and takes the first payment.
See Plan limits for what each plan includes.
