Cancel or pause
Cancel at the end of your paid period, or pause a monthly plan for one or three months.
Cancel
- Open Billing and press Cancel plan. Only the account owner can.
- Tell us why if you like (it's optional), then press Cancel plan.
- Your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again. During a free trial, the trial runs to its end date and you aren't charged.
- We email you to confirm. Until that date you can press Keep my plan on Billing to carry on.
- After that, nothing new is written. Your sites, sources and settings stay, so you can start again any time by choosing a plan.
- Posts already in WordPress or Ghost stay on your site.

Pause instead
An active monthly plan can be paused instead. The cancel page offers Pause instead for 1 month or 3 months.
- The pause starts at the end of the month you've paid for.
- Nothing is written and nothing is charged while it's paused.
- It starts again by itself on the date shown on Billing.
- Before the pause starts, Keep my plan cancels it.
- While it's paused, Resume now on Billing starts it again straight away. A new billing period starts that day and is charged then.
Other ways to pay less
The cancel page may also offer fewer articles a day on your plan, or a move to a smaller plan (see Change your plan).
